At approximately 2:45 am on 04/20/20 two employees of Faulkner farms were outside one of the residences at the farm playing some sort of game and drinking when a witness heard commotion and came outside to find the two fighting. In the process, one man (28) suffered a stab wounds to his torso and head.

Fearing continued combat from the suspect, two other workers loaded the victim into their vehicle and fled the area while calling 911. They eventually stopped at the entrance to Bayside Church, 15000 SR 64 E, where they were contacted by deputies.

EMS attempted to fly the victim to a trauma center, but all flight services were cancelled due to weather, so EMS transported him via ground to Blake Hospital as a trauma alert. Blake later advised that he was being admitted to ICU in critical but stable condition.

Deputies responded to Faulkner Farms and located the witness, crime scene, and identified the suspect as Jaime Mondragon (DOB: 01/27/1977) Mondragon had a meth pipe in his possession and was arrested for Possession of Paraphernalia.

After further investigation detectives established probable cause to charge Mondragon with Aggravated Battery on 4/23/20. He was already in jail for the previous arrest.
